Jupiter, the Greater Benefic, is very strong and dignified in Sagittarius, the sign of his rulership, from 2 November 2018 to 4 December 2019, although he is retrograde between 10 April and 11 August 2019. This is a very good time to make talismans and do magick to increase wealth, bring prosperity, increase and abundance into your life. It is also a wonderful time to improve your spirituality and your connection to Divine Providence in its most benefic form.
William Lilly says of a native with a strong Jupiter in his horoscope: “Then is he Magnanimous, Faithfull, Bashfull, Aspiring in an honourable way at high matters, in all his actions a Lover of fair Dealing, desiring to benefit all men, doing Glorious things, Honourable and Religious, of sweet and affable Conversation, wonderfully indulgent to his Wife and Children, reverencing Aged men, a great Reliever of the Poor, full of Charity and Godlinesse, Liberal, hating all Sordid actions, Just, Wife, Prudent, Thankfull, Vertuous: so that when you find Jupiter the significator of any man in a Question, or Lord of his Ascendant in a Nativity, and well dignified, you may judge him qualified as abovesaid.” As such, Jupiter talismans can also be used to increase or inspire one’s own dignity, magnanimity and self-respect.
Examples of Talismans
As noted above, Agrippa in his 3 Books of Occult Philosophy (Book 2, Chapter 22) describes a particular form of Jupiter talisman that involves scribing a silver plate or coral with the magical square associated with Jupiter as well as its divine names, Angel and Intelligence to bring wealth and prosperity.
The 10th chapter of the second book of the Picatrix gives us a Jupiter election that would be particularly suited for the elections we provide below:
“Under the influence of Jupiter, make the figure of a crowned man sitting on a throne with four feet carried by four winged men, and the man who is sitting on the throne is raising his hands as though he were praying. Make it in the hour of Jupiter when Jupiter is rising in his exaltation and make it in a clear and white stone. Those who carry this image will have increase of riches and honour and lead a good life, and have many sons, and be able to perform good things and not be injured by enemies.” – Picatrix, transl. John Michael Greer & Christopher Warnock
Although we have Jupiter in his rulership rather than in its exaltation, we can expect the same benefic conditions to apply due to Jupiter’s incredible strength when he is in his own sign.

The Moon is peregrine, waning, and makes an applying trine to the Sun. Jupiter is culminating, and strong in the sign of his rulership and in his own terms. Jupiter makes no applying aspects to any planets. It is the hour of Jupiter.
With this first election, you may want to exercise some caution if you are a causal practitioner since Jupiter is conjunct the fixed star Antares which can add a little intensity to this planet. If you want to make use of this conjunction, you may petition the star directly and ask for its aid in protecting you from enemies in your search for wealth.

It is very rare that we have the Greater Benefic in such a position of strength and dignity when all the other conditions to elect for a Jupiter talisman are met. I encourage you to make the most of it and pray for prosperity and abundance in an increasingly volatile economy.
