Aldebaran talisman for riches and great honours

“Under Aldebaran they made an image after the likeness of God, or of a flying man; it giveth riches and honor.” – Henry Cornelius Agrippa, Three Books of Occult Philosophy, Book II, Chapter 47 (transl. Joseph H. Peterson)

Aldebaran, a fixed star in the Taurus constellation, is one of the 15 Behenian Stars described in Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy, as well as earlier works on astrological magic. It is an extremely benefic star and is associated with eminence, great fortune, royalty, and is said to bring great riches and honours.

The Aldebaran talisman election and creation

Aldebaran is rising and the Moon applies to a tight conjunction to Aldebaran. The moon herself is waxing.

The talisman was created by engraving the appropriate image and sigil on a ruby stone and suffumigating with milk thistle at the elected time, as per the instructions given in the Book of Hermes on the Fixed Stars.  The ruby was then set in a pendant setting and is supplied with a 16” sterling silver chain as standard.

How astrological talismans work

Celestial talismans created during an elected time when the planetary force is particularly potent are batteries of intelligent energy animated by the Angel or Intelligence who rules that celestial object.  One can think of them as physical embodiments of the virtue of a particular planet or star and carrying the talisman imbues the wearer with the virtue. In this instance, Aldebaran imbues the bearer of the talisman with an aura of success and is designed to attract increasing success, dignities and riches.
